Homer Congregational Church added to the National Dress Reform Association articles on the Freethought Trail
I was recently contacted by Sophie Clough, Collections and Research Assistant at the Cortland County Historical Society, who informed me of a potential new event associated with the founding and the meetings of the National Dress Reform Association.
According to a newspaper account in the Homer Republican (August 1856, page 41), a meeting was held in the Homer Congregational Church that predated the so called First Convention of the NDRA in Canastota.
Please see the associated articles for more information. We updated the website and added a few new items to round out the NDRA articles.
Thanks to Sophie and the Cortland County Historical Society for the info and the images.
