Benjamin and Sarah Fish Grave Site

Abolitionist, Fourierist Utopian, and Spiritualist activist Benjamin Fish and his wife Sarah are buried in Section M, Lot No. 101 of Rochester's elegant Mount Hope Cemetery. It is a small stone set flush to the ground. In contrast to the graves of more prominent figures such as Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, there is no signage showing the way to the grave site. A map of Mount Hope Cemetery may be accessed here. During business hours, personnel at the cemetery office can assist visitors in locating specific grave sites.
